Minnesota, the “land of 10,000 lakes” is located in the Midwestern United States, bordering Canada, other states, and Lake Superior, the largest fresh water lake in the world. The urban attractions of Minneapolis and St. Paul are undeniably tempting, ranging from a vibrant nightlife to an excellent cuisine scene, but some of the greatest destinations in Minnesota are, as the old cliché goes, “off the beaten path”. From Highway 61 to the Twin Cities, Minnesota is an excellent place to look at real estate and homes for sale. The Twin Cities, Minneapolis and St. Paul, are marked by cultural centers including museums, universities, theaters, and dance companies. The former is the larger of the two, and St. Paul is the state capital. These two cities are well known for outdoor activities, a secure environment, and great schools.
In western Minnesota, located right on the shores of Lake Superior, the city of Duluth and its bustling international harbor are open for exploration by visitors and residents alike. This community can be toured by the Lakewalk Trail, the Skyline Parkway, or North Shore Scenic Drive. Duluth is also well known for its nearby natural attractions, which include Superior Hiking Trial and Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. Fans of the fine arts will not be disappointed by the Walker Art Center of the Twin Cities, which hosts an internationally recognized collection of paintings, drawings, prints, photographs, and sculptures in addition to a sculpture park, educational programs, theater, dance, and music. Shoppers cannot ask for a better destination than the Mall of America, which is the largest enclosed shopping and entertainment complex in the world. This monstrosity offers stores, boutiques, restaurants, mini golf courses, nightclubs, aquariums, a wedding chapel, theaters, and even an indoor theme park.
